Help!, Mystery hard ring comes out from behind flywheel seal ??? Pics follow

Some of the old seal rubber was still wrapped around this hard ring. (see pic no.1) What is this ring? (it also has a very small dent in it)

How is it suppose to fit, and is it compatible with the rubber flywheel seal no. 999-113-057-52, I have from Pleican?

Turns out the ring was part of the old seal

Problem solved. The ring was part of the old seal itself, the rubber came off and left the hard ring all by itself in the "shaft".

Back to work.
