Project '72 has begun.. part 1

Well I had a couple of hours on Sat and Sun to get started on the project. I am completely amazed at the condition of this car after sitting for 9-10 years. It still rolled, tires still had air, the heater box flaps move with ease, the wiring harnesses are quite bendable, not brittle, the throttle moves and the stacks move with ease, engine spins over freely, I havent found any rust anywhere. Here are some photos after I yanked the engine, gas tank and some interior pieces. I have found a 993 engine to go back in, and it will soon have RSR bodywork.
to be continued......

(by the way, the complete engine as you see it, including perfect SSIs, and the seats are for sale. Im waiting on a fuel cell to arrive, and when it does the fuel tank will also be for sale. It is a plastic tank)

Rattler,

Thanks for teeing up a nice project that will keep us all interested for a while. That thing should be incredible when you get finished, and it looks like you have a good base to start from!

Keep the progress pics coming!

It's hard to find an early chassis that clean that doesn't cost a bundle. You did good.

I would go Signal Orange but then again I'm biased.
