A Lesson & A Question
The cruise control on my 84 cab stopped working so this weekend I pulled out my trusty Bentley and spent 3 hours trouble shooting to no avail. (This included removing and replacing the clutch switch.) Then I chanced to look in the engine compartment and what do I see, but the end section of the cable which connected to the throttle linkage had broken off.
Lesson: Check the Basic Things First!! Now the question: Can anyone tell me how much the cable moves so I can tell if I can just clamp a piece of wire to the part that’s still there. Or alternatively, what is the electrical signal to operate the motor so I can stroke it and see if the wire disappears into the sheath. Thanks, Art |
