Which Car Cover do you use?
Which cover is the best, do I need to spend up to $150 on one? I need one for weekend ventures up the coast, not planning to let the car sit in the rain but it could happen, mainly need protection from the dust and the morning dew.

I have Tyvek covers for my 911 and my wife's '93 Corrado.
They're reasonably priced (especially at 20% off), very light, you can crumple them up easily and after you use them a few times, they get pretty soft. As when using any cover, make sure you have a decent coat of wax on the car.

I have a Monsoon ( I think that's the name), that I got from Driveworks (Pelican). About $150 with bag to carry it. Works great outdoors or inside. Like George said, make sure you have a good coat of wax, and the car is clean before you put it on.

My car will stay outdoors all year long so I bought a StormShield. The PO used one for years and the paint still looks great!

If your car stays in the rain for 6 months (winter here) is it better to cover it or just let it sit? I don't want mold growing between the damp cover and the paint...

Stormshield because of the same reasons as above. But I would get another if it does not see any rain-something softer.

I'd say it depends on your use...but light rain, mist..overnight outdoors, but car mainly garage kept? Tyvek should be adequate. Read the ads.
Most cover manufacturers are pretty accurate in their descriptions of the available fabrics.
