Where to buy interior parts???

My kelly green 1972 911S is now ready for carpet set and all gaskets.
What is the best source for those parts??
Is there a full weather stripping set available??
Should i restore the original door panels and pockets or go with RS or RSR style - leather?

Thanks for your input, harol

Interior refurbish

The best source for carpeting (imho) is Auto's International in Escondido CA. They have been doing it for longer than anyone else, and do many of the interior restorations for cars competing in PCA regional and national shows.

For rubber, I would use either Parts Obsolete (Gary Emory owner) in Oregon 503 835-2300. Or International Mercantile in California. Both have been in business doing this forever (or so it seems), and provide the best rubber, and best fitting rubber. Gary also can provide a large range of restoration parts, and used original parts, for any early Porsche.

The door panels depends on what you want to do.....Auto's Intl. can do either one for you. I think that RS door panels might look a little "off" in a totally original looking car....though they might be a great start for updating the whole car.

regards,
Eric

Hello Eric

Do you have the contact number or location for International Mercantile. I am finishing a restoration and need to buy all the seals.

Thanks
Eric

Intl Mercantile # is 800 356-0012. If he can't help go to Gary Emory.

Auto's International in Escondido CA, I think their quality is good but the price is amost double than other shops. They charge $1500 for convertible top replacement. I got it done for $850. Same material, just different labor.
