Turbo owners - must hit boost on every drive!

I love how Porsche instructs turbo owners (in my '87s manual, at least) to hit full boost in 1st gear on every drive. Maybe the cops will understand... "Officer, I was just following the instructions in the owners manual." See the special note for the turbo below.

Wow, full throttle to 5,500 RPM would definitely get you a citation for exhibition of speed. I would think a 4 speed Turbo would be moving along pretty well with WOT to 5,500 revs!!! You better have that manual handy when you get pulled over... Mike | ||

Would that REALLY help you get off a ticket? If I were a cop I wouldn't know what to do with that one!

Then the little LED mounted on my dash lites up as we hit 0.65 Bar and the Andial Fuel Enrichment system dumps 30% more raw fuel in to the system, the engine noise changes and we are in full afterburner mode. Thank-you for playing, next contestant please! God do I love that car.

I wonder how many owner's manuals for other cars have a section on "maximum downshifting points?"
