clutch arm and throwout bearing
How do you get the arm into the groove in the throwout bearing? I'm trying to mate the tranny back to the engine and do not see how the arm goes into the groove. If I try to move the arm very far to the rear it hits the hard oil line that runs under the bell housing. Car is a 72 by the way.
Thanks, Jeff Parker

take the lower arm off. then eyeball the fork to t/o bearing interface thru the hole on the left upper bellhousing with a mirror and flashlight. get it just starting into the t/o bearing then wiggle the engine in a bit more and recheck that it's still engaging properly, then shove the engine home. then put the arm(s) back on.
