oil pressure too low
Hi
the oil pressure seems to be too low according to the manometer (2.7Carrera engine)(1.5Bar/3500rpm/100°c) no mechanical noise everything is right the engine is powerful I believe it's caused by bad rod bearings ? any idea ? best regards Philippe |

Have you verified the pressure with another gauge to ensure that the reading isn't from a faulty gauge?

Phillipe,
It seems to be low alright. Does it get higher than 1.5 bar as the revs go up? My 2.2L was that way when totally worn out inside - still ran like a bat out of hell too...;-)

Agree. Fix the easiest problem first before tearing down the engine.
