Does anyone has experience on fitting a very reasonably priced Hirschmann AUTA-2040 to replace the original power antenna which I belive was AUTA-6000 for 911 Carrera 3.2 (1984)?
I am planning to install it to rightside wing to the hole made by Factory for AUTA-6000. Thanks/TcJ |

I fitted a new Hirschmann to my '83 Cab with no problem - it fit easily into the factory hole on the right side wing (fender). If I remember correctly it was the AUTA-2040? The power unit is exposed within the wing, so under normal driving I am nor sure how long it would last, but I rarely drive it in inclimate weather.
