Idle stabiliser valve? 3.2 carrera
 

On a posting about rough idle, I noticed a response about cleaning a"idle stabiliser valve".

My search came up cold.

Is there such a beast, where is it, how do you clean it?

Looking at the motor from the back of the car, the idle stabilizer valve is above the fan, in front of the throttle body. It is cylindrical, about 6 inche long, 2" in diamter, metal with a connector on one end and a black hose in the top and in the bottom. Sorry, I can't find a picture.
