I've got original paint and a significant number of stone chips on the front and mirrors. After i was and wax the car, I guess the wax gets in and looks white....not good on a black car.
Anybody found a solution...other than a repaint, which is planned for next year. Thanks. Dave

Touchup paint, or using something maybe like a toothpick to get the wax out?

Sorry, I should have said that I use One Grand Blitz wax. I have p21s wax...is that better?
There are just too many to use touchup paint. Thanks. Dave

I have the same problem on a metallic black Audi. Get some black colored polish and use it as a top coat on the areas that have a lot of stone chips. Turtle Wax "Color Magic" is the one I have; it comes in a variety of basic colors and lasts quite a long time. But don't use it on large (especially flat) areas that do not have road rash, as it may subtly change the hue of the car's color and look blotchy or uneven.

You can also use polish first-something that fills minor imperfections like tiny chips and scratches. Then the wax will lay on top of this. Now that you have the wax stuck in there, you will have to strip wax and start over. Good old dawn dish washing liquid will do the job. Then polish and wax.
My 2 cents-works for me

Meguiers never went white on me, except the rubber parts (and that wipes off). Easy to use.

Yes...ditto on the Meguiers. I used the Crystal Carnuba and it not only shines like the Devil with his ass on fire, but it wipes off clean too.

Meguiars rubber treatment - done first - will make it really easy to wipe off the wax. Almost as easy if done later. They told me to do it first.
I hear Ps2s also does not show that white. |

This is why white cars are so cool, among other reasons. May the force be with me.

clean em up with warm water and car soap and a soft abrasive pad made to remove bugs from yer car. You can buy them from Wal-mart for $2 and they dont hurt the paint. Or simply wipe with grease and wax remover (ppg brand from an auto paint shop) and start over with some good stuff.
