If you were me what would you do

ok i have a 72T and the motors out its going to need new clutch chain tensioners and new throttle bodies [pump good] The motor has good compression. OR for more power I was interested in a 2.7 w/divalar heads studs the chain tensioners are encluded in the deal and it runs supposedly and has a good clutch. and was removed because the body had rot, Its a cis motor and id like to keep the mfi which i know the pump will have to be recalibrated .and ill have to get different heads. He wants 1500 for the motor Just not sure what to do .Any thought would be welcomed.

Don't you need different pistons, too? If I wanted a bigger engine in our 73E, I'd rebuild the current 2.4L into a 2.7RS, perhaps with higher compression too.

The 2.4 T is a natural for conversion to 2.7 RS...but you will need new heads, P&C's, S cams...and a few other goodie$. I'd say budget considerations may enter in here..a lot. Paul, "new throttle bodies" I'm curious about that... please explain more, if you can.

Oh yeah, I also thought Dilavar was a no-no for exhaust studs (but I'm certainly no expert!).

My throttle bodies on my T were coroded really bad on the 1 side Pwd72 and theyll need to be replaced .As the stacks are poping like crazy in the 1 area where the corossion ate away the body under the butterflies

$1500 sounds pretty tempting. Are the studs included but not installed? You might be able to do something here. Case savers and an Andial 2.9 P/C setup is a possibility. But I agree, you have the 2.4 and you know what it is. Would you know the diiference between a 2.7 RS and a 2.9? I guess the real question is, would I?
