highbeam indicator light doesn't work
I am going to get my car inspected tomorrow and noticed tonight that the highbeam indicator light does not work. I pulled the od and the tach and checked the bulbs and they are fine. I looked at the fuse box and the wire looks to be hooked into the highbeam fuse. I am not sure where to go from here to debug the problem. Anyone know what the path of this circuit is?

Are you SURE that the bulb and pigtail assembly are OK?
Some bulbs will look OK but be burned out and sometimes the contacts in the pigtail assembly can corrode to the point of breaking the circuit. |
I changed out the od light with another constant light on the gauge that I know works, I didn't try replacing the one on the tach but looked at it closely and it looks ok. Do they both have to be good?

Kerry,
Are you absolutley sure it's burned out? Mine is so dim that it isn't visible during the day and still quite dim at night. I'm sure you're right, but thought I'd mention this. Ryan |
Ok I'm a dumb ass. I changed the one in the tach and what do you know I get indicated!!! What is the light in the speedo for?
|
Fog lights only.
|
How did you get the indicator light out of the back of the tach? Mine is stuck in there pretty good and I'm afraid I'm going to break something.
|
The light at the top of the speedo indicates that just the parking lights are on. It goes out when you switch on the headlights.

High Beam Light
Check the plastic..mine has gone so dark not even the brightest bulb works.
