Rubber Intake hose/ sleeve blown off
The problem here sounds easier than it is in practice. Here's what happened: I started my car up and heard a loud "pop" at the back, follwed by the engine cutting out . Started her up again and every time it fired, I heard air sucking in and the engine cuts. When I looked at the engine, i noticed that the right hand rubber intake sleeve ( Air Distributor to Throttle Valve Housing, Upper Inlet, 2 Per Car) that connects the three hoses to the housing has been dislocated from its connection to the center housing. There also appears to be a smaller intake sleeve at the rear of this one also dislocated. Thing is, you would think its as simple as pushing the sleeve back to slide over the center housing connection, but its not. I cannot seem to get much movement from the sleeve to be able bridge the gap and connect. Could anyone kindly advise how I approach this sitaution? Thing is there is very little hand space to move any tools in there and the only thing i may to able to do is slip the entire sleeve off. I need to have this sleeve connected back and seal in the air again. Any advise appreciated. Thanks
