ppi in San Fran and in LA
Hi gang, I need to get a PPI done long distance (I am in Chicago) on a couple of early 911's in San Fran and LA. Got any recommendations for a willing and knowledgeable mechanic?

I can't help you out in LA, but in the SF Bay area the Golden Gate Region of PCA has a listing of mechanics. I personally use T&D, but it is close to me in Campbell (and is therefore not real close to the City of SF).

In LA, it depends on what area. TRE is great (818.509.0257). If it is closer to Orange Country, there are a number of shops down there (Andial, Hergesheimer, etc). If you do a search you'll find a number of threads listing shops. It really depends on where the car is located and how far the owner will drive.

Call Jim Capps at Cars Dawydiak at 415-928-CARS. He's thorough, a true porschephile and very easy to deal with. Located right in the middle of San Francisco.
