I just replaced a faulty turn signal/hi-beam switch in my 911 and because I'm an idiot, I forgot to label the wires under the dash... I did however get the ones that ran to the headlight switch labeled and installed right though. There are 3 wires that pop out of the harness coming from the turn signal switch, two are yellow (one with a female connector, one with a male connector) and the other is black with a white tracer and green spots along its length. The car has two grey wires (one female, one male) hanging from the dash as well as one black wire. All of these attached somehow but I have yet to stumble upon the proper combination.
When hooked up "logically", I get my low beams on ONLY when the car is shut off (the minute I turn the igntion key, they go off) and when it's set to "run" with the headlight switch on, I get flash to pass hi-beams and regular hi-beams... no low-beams. Basically I need to figure out why my low beams only work when the car is off... it seems to be working exactly the reverse of how it's supposed to be. Could I have screwed up the wiring to the headlight switch afterall? I need a colour-coded wiring diagram! ![]()

Is there someone with a mid-70s 911 with a digital camera that can snap an under-dash picture for me? It's dark and I have no headlights! Help!

I figured it out! Thanks to Wayne and his wiring diagrams on the Pelican site I realized it was so simple... yellow to yellow, grey to grey and black to black with white tracer and green spots. It's weird that they put a connector in the middle of a wire that runs from the dimmer switch to the relay but that's what the confusion was. I have headlights!!!!!
