Question My SC is leaking air????

Got out of the car the other day while it was running. Noticed that it was making a "hisssss" out of the front end. Just like the sound you would have if you got a nail in your tire. So, I looked at the tires. No nail! Can you please tell me what the heck the "hisssss" is? Got no idea.

Does your a/c still work? Could be a puncture in the front condensor.

You know, I pulled the pump off the engine? Should be doing nothing right?

I had the same thing happen on my SC. I was getting out and heard a hiss, thought for sure it was the tire, it wasn't. I don't know what it turned out to be, but it eventually went away.

Show us a pic of your valve stems...to test them? Pour soapy water where the stems meet the wheels. If you see bubbles, there is your problem. Certainly cheaper to fix than other problems mentioned. And easier to test for. I had a friend who routinely lost 4-5 PSI per week out of his tires. The problem? The pretty, but poor sealing valve stems he chose. Me? I select the black rubber ones.

Its your fuel pump, I am almost sure of it.

My front pump is noisy as hell sometimes and depending on its mood either sounds like a hiss or a buzzer.

I know it's not the tires. Checked. Actually, I spit on them. (I know sounds "redneck") I have not totaly ruled out the fuel pump. All my other cars sounded more like a buzzer though. I have another thought. Could it be a leak in the vaccume for my brakes?
