‘Home Dyno’ useful tool or junk?
Has anyone tried this product out or any of there competitors? I read a post by Turdo6bar Results of Home Dyno on my 911SC
On this product and was hoping for some more feedback. If this product works as claimed it would be an invaluable tool test the changes in hp made by any mod to your 911. The home page for this product is: http://www.charm.net/~mchaney/roaddyno/index.html Has anyone tried or heard of any other similar products? Thanx Frostie |

If not for wheel spin and clutch slippage any program that can monitor car speed can calculate acceleration and use the newtonian classic F = m * a to determine the power output of the motor.
Since the whole car is involved its actuallyt rear wheel HP and not crank power though. When I finally get around to putting a laptop in the car I will certainly be tapping it into the speedo sensor. |

I have one. I hooked it up to a frequency generator and found it is very accurate up to 12k rpm, when hooked up to 1 plug wire. Not accurate over 2k rpm, if hooked up to coil wire .
I think it is a very useful tool. ED
