is there a special type of hose for oil lines??

I need to fabricate some oil lines for my early 65 engine. I tried this setup as seen in the picture below, but it worries me as it is using standard "auto parts store" fuel line type hose. Will this hold up to the temperature and pressure of these engines?

And even more pressing, where can I buy some of the correct type of rubber oil line - is there a specific type or brand that people use??? Thanks a lot!

I am fairly sure that is not strong enough. You need lines rated for at least 150 psi. and they need to be crimped on. If that thing fails your engine is toast real fast.

Yeah, when I was young, dumb and full of *** I thought this to be a sound solution too. I got (1) mile from the US/Canadian border before my *fix* failed (on the wrong side of the crossing I might add). Three days later and $1000 later (cdn) I was on my way.....

Ok guys, how about constructive feedback?? Nobody sells the part for an early 65 911 with center-fed cams, so this works until I get it figured out. And, the reason I am asking this is because I do NOT see this as a sound solution.

So back to my question, is there a special type of hose, or a "specification type" that works??? Where do you guys get oil line hose without the fittings?

Every decent sized city has a place that specializes in hydraulic and other types of specialty rubber and hose product.

Find the one closest to where you live and request the proper hoses, crimps and connectors.
