Best Interior Color for Silver Cab?

My interior is starting to look a little "tired" - white/ivory is probably not the best color for keeping a youthful look for 16+ years.

I'm thinking about giving it an interior make-over (that phrase will help buy approval points with the wife) this winter - the seats are getting due for a recover anyway.

Any color recommendations?

I don't know about you, but my *dream* Porsche colors are silver with red leather interior. Probably my favorite is the 993C2S, Artic Silver with Boxter Red interior....someday. Black or blue would probably get hot on topless days, however, blue would probably be the best match.

Brad, the interior was originally all black vinyl w/ std. seats. I replaced the basketweave dash insert with leather to match the seats. Thanks for the comments. -- Curt

I second Jerry on the burgandy. Red is just a bit too bright for my taste.

I have not seen a 911 with the best color combo...Silver with Dark Tan...I think there is an Audi TT that is silver with tan (looks like a baseball glove tan). YUMMY

It is very sporty and still very classy too.

fig911 - I'm going to keep an eye out for that silver/tan combo on anything - sounds like it might be a good one. (Typical - everyone has fun 'till someone puts an eye out)

For the time being it sounds like dark/royal blue would be the best if not the easiest transition.

Interesting point about the heat though, it hadn't occured to me how nice that white interior is in the hot sun. Come to think of it, it sure does stay much cooler than a dark interior.

Maybe I'll have to think about this from a few more angles...

P.S. I wasn't sure how to attach a hyperlink...all of these go to the same place.

My 930 is silver with "lobster" interior. Use to hate it, now I am a fan.

Watch out for black. You will burn your legs if you don't keep the top up while parked or keep a beach towel on the seat. Take it for what it's worth, my sister said she would never buy a cab with a black interior again. Mine is Champaign (fancy for tan) and I love it. I think a light to medium grey might be worth a look.

Black leather.

A silver exterior and a black interior looks very elegant and classic in my opinion.

Guess what I repainted my 911 in silver and put in a black leather interior.... If I'm ever going to buy another 911 it'll have to be silver with a black leather interior. I like it that way
