Question Exterior Trim Question

On my '76 911 the back small push out window exterior) has black trim where as the rest of my car has the black chrome (black purple color). Can I buy this trim seperate or do I need a whole new window? Thanks

Sounds like the rest of the car is what needs to be changed. Sun fades the anodizing. The "black" rear window is probably newer or has been powder-coated.

You can maybe find a set of used rear windows that have faded like the rest of your car and just replace the one. Yes, you can buy it seperatley, but it will be blacker (is that a word?) like the one you have already.

Klober23,

You can buy the trim on the window from Vertex. You don't have to buy the whole window.

My car is exactly as you described - the door window surrounds looks like a black-chrome, while the rear quarter windows are black. I don't think it's worth fixing - adds that old car character.

Here is a picture of my car. The black trim has faded. I'm thinking of reanodizing the trim.
