I was reading the technical artical Tom Sharpes put out there about detailing the engine compartment and noticed the great shiny heater hoses he had. I was wondering if anyone had these parts and could tell me where I could get them. I threw my old paper ones away a while ago and need to replace them. It doesn't look like the parts you can get here, but I could be mistaken.
Also, does anyone have any experience storing an 83 Targa in extreme cold weather? I am in North Dakota, and I stored it last winter and thought I did it all correctly, but tried to start it after charging the battery, and it won't turn over. It did a couple of times at first, but there was no ignition, and I can't hear the fuel pump working. Thanks in advance.

WhyNotMinot??? FEW is more fun!!!
Did you check the fuel pump relay? Many people disconnect these along with the battery. I do not mean to insult, but do the lights come on with the battery? Have you turned the ignition over to the running position and listened for the pump? Have you checked for nesting rodents? I do not know how to store the vehicle for the winter. When getting ready to start back up after the winter: Shine a light through the fan to see if there are any critters or debris. Make sure there is oil in the car. Take the air box cover and the air filter out. Ensure the area is clean. There is an arm that is in the center rear of the air box. This arm can be used to bleed your fuel system of air. Turn the ignition to the running location so the fuel pump can pump (you should hear a whine from the pump). Go to the rear of the car and push up (towards the hood) on the fuel distributor (arm at the center rear of the air box) until you hear a slight whine, if you hear a "meow" right off, this is good. Let the arm drop, then push back up until you hear a "meow". This should take a second or so. This should have primed your fuel injection system. If you flood the system, just wait a little while for it to evaporate. You should be able to start the car at this time. Let us know how you progress! I know others will add to this, so keep your eyes open and let us know!

Well I made sure the battery was charged, put it back in and now I'm not getting any power to any lights, fuel pump, gagues, ect. I took out the fuses and cleaned the connections, checked the relays and they seem to be working. I've looked all over the place for information on rewiring the car, but haven't had much luck there. I have seen the schematics but they didn't help too much. Thanks for the previous help, and I really want to get it running.
Grand Forks, not Minot
