My car stalled today while warming up on the drive way (once) and then 15 minutes later at a stop sign while going to work.
What gives?

Don't use starting fluid to diagnose a vacume leak, it is very flamable!! Use carb cleaner in a spray can.

Had the same problem with my 86 3.2 and it was driving me crazy. What I found was a combination of bad Beru ignition cables and spark plugs. Instead of buying new wires, since mine were fairly new, I tried sealing all the boots with clear silicone sealer and replacing the plugs.
What a difference...smooth all the way to redline now without a studder off the line. You can disregard my earlier Beru bashing post. I now have a new found respect for the OEM Beru cables, as long as you use a little silicone where it counts. Cheers, Joe Last edited by stlrj; 07-18-2004 at 09:48 AM.. |
