correct fuel system route
while converting my 2.4 CIS to carbs I will need to change the fuel line route. I planned on putting a pressure regulator on the carb side, but I believe I need to have a excess fuel line back to the tank. Anyone have a diagram of how this works and what parts are needed.

Have never done the conversion, but choking down on the stock fuel pump is probably not the best one can do. Unless you install a low pressure pump with the appropriate regulator for regulated pressure to the carbs, I would install a back pressure regulator, probably easier on the stock pump. The CIS fuel routing is pretty simple, both come to the engine bay together (on 76 for sure..others likely to be same), the one to the accumulator is the pump side, and the one to the CIS&WUR is your return.

you're better off getting a small inline 3# fuel pump, and blocking the return line. then you don't need a regulator.

cool, I'll do that. I have one I can use from my other car. Seems that I've sold my tranny and the engine.
