Sc Owners Help If U Can!(80-83)
 

If you are an sc owner of an SC from 80-83 you can help me out a bunch by simply looking at your car's engine for me. Look down at the left set of intake manifolds. On the middle manifold is the fuel pressure regulator (warm up regulator). There should be a small vaccume line coming out of the side of it. Please locate and tell me where the vaccume line plugs into the best you can. Thank you very much.

I'd love to help out, but I really dont know where the WUR is (pathetic I know). Where are you in Colorado? If you're close, you can stop by and look :) I'm in Aurora.

I think I am going to give you correct info....

The line closest to the dr. side fender on my 81 connects to a metal tube and goes directly to the center of the fuel dist. block. Ther is another line that is closer to the center of the engine that is next to the electrical connector, it runs to the airbox boot right next to the hose clamp.

Does this make sense??

Thanx Hladun...thats diagram is a big help...i think you just solved one of my problems.

The vertical fuel line goes to the center inlet to the fuel distributor.
The horizontal line heads back into the rear of the engine and crosses over to the pass side to the base of the fuel block area from the backside.

The WUR line is the MIDDLE line in the group of 3 lines clamped together in the middle of the engine horizontally.

What is part # 39 in that diagram called? I thought it was the decel valve, but th Pelican parts catalog shows the decel valve is part # 7.

Can someone set me straight?

39 is the auxilary air valve (AAV). It should be removed to prevent startup backfires and surging. 7 is the deceleration valve and it is necessary to prevent stalling on throttle release.
