Flowmaster in NYC purchase?

Does anyone know anywhere to buy the correct model flowmaster muffler in NYC for my SC (1in 1 or 2 out)?
Im over here on holiday and am thinking of taking some excess baggage home.
Cheers

Chris,

I just dug this out from the flowmaster website:

S & K SPEED
273 SUNRISE HIGHWAY
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY 11570
800 846-4252
516 766-2225

Good luck, and have a good time in NY!!

Cheers

Order it from Jegs.com. Cheapest I've seen.

I found the cheapest price at Summit Racing. Also Jegs did not have the one I needed.

Not that I'm interested in buying Flowmaster but a guy that used to work for me now works at Flowmaster. Just down the road from where I work in West Sacramento, CA. Not sure if he knows anything about fitment or distribution outlets but when it comes to assembly he might be able to answer some questions.

Rockville Center is a 20 min train ride from NYC. S&K is just across from the station. Dont know if the twin in twin out is a stock item though

Single in - single out is P/N 52580 (verify this!)

Car it's supposed to go on is a ROUSH MUSTANG.

Pretty much any exhaust shop should be able to get it ASAP. If all else fails, order from Summit or Jegs and have it overnighted.

Good luck

Thanks for the info guys. As it turned out, I didn't have the time to get the muffler. My girlfiend had a tight schedule planned! :) I'm back home again and I have since heard that import tax is only on purchases of £145 or more. Can any Uk guys confirm this? If it's the case then I may just go on and order from the suppliers named above.

Cheers again.

Hi Chris,

I had a parcel from Pelican recently, It had a parcel force sticker on it stating that anything with a value of £18 or over is liable for Customs charges!

My order came to around £150 and on top of that I had to pay £40 for import duty, VAT & Clearance fees (whatever they are!)

Cheers,

Tim.

Sorry Chris they will charge you import duty and VAT. Its also pot luck what stuff gets charged. I have had quite a few packages sent from the US and some came straight to my door and others I had to pay duty on. I am also looking to buy a flowmaster muffler for my 3.6 conversion and either intend to have it shipped in a vehical which is being shipped in or have it sent as a gift.

Doh. Thought it was too good to be true. FWIW I nearly bought a portable DVD player from a Times Square shop. Panasonic DVL50. Cost only $299 over there! I chickened out at the last minute for fear of taxation but have since found out they are £500 over here! STUPID.
