I'm trying to disconnect the headers from the turbo itself.
It looked easy enough with just 4 bolts, but the space is soooo tight that I can't really get any wrench in there; let alone 2 (to hold the nut & bolt). Any suggestion from those who had done it? And - what's the size of the nut? I tried 13/14mm but neither seems to fit ![]() thanks...

pulling off the bumper has made a lot of folk's lives easier. the wrench size can vary, 14 and 17 is common. yes, it's a pain sometimes.

To remove bumper remove 4 8mm nuts from their studs on the inside of the bumper. These (2 on each side) hold one edge of the rubber accordion on. Pull the accordian studs away from the bumper until they are out of the bumper holes. Then remove the two rear black bumper gaurds (you can search for instructions on this. It involves removing the reverse lights, unplugging the wires, then removing the mounting nuts on the inside of the bumper. The narrow trim strips need to be pulled back first.)
For the turbo, I had to use a stubby wrench, crowfoot wrench, and beer. 17mm on mine. Good luck!

First time i loosen mine, i go crazy too, but if you take away the "heet-shield" mounted right above the turbo you get plenty of place to take away the last bolt from the inside of engineroom. (at least on my 3.0L 930 i think it's the same on yours)

Still struggling with the darn thing but now I also have a 2nd problem - what tool do you use to get those 6 hex nuts off the headers (where its bolted to the exhaust ports)?
Will a crow-foot socket work? Someone told me that if you bought the SSI headers, it comes with a specialty C-shape one to do the job? Thanks again...

crowfoot or offset wrench will do (6 point will be safer). Socket and universal joint almost never works.
