Does Anyone Have a Sanden 508 Compressor Installed?

I'm replacing my York a/c compressor with a small, modern compressor. I see from reading this board that many folks use the Sanden 507 and a York to Sanden adapter bracket. Is there anyone who has successfully installed the larger Sanden 508 or 510? There are other manufacturers (e.g., Seltec and Unicla) who make compressors in both the 507 and 508 form factor, and I'm trying to learn whether ONLY the 507 dimensions will fit. I'll write this all up as a very detailed post when I'm done. Thanks.

I installed a 507 earlier this summer. My understanding is the smaller compressor (507) was better suited to the condensor area of the 911. Unless you add an underbelly condensor you proably won't gain much cooling capacity from a larger compressor.

Thanks Walt. I'm looking at the 508 and 510 not so much because of their larger displacement but because they're still available and they show up fairly regularly on Ebay, whereas the 507 appears to be out of production. On my car, a compressor the size of a 508 appears to hit the intake manifold. I'm trying to figure out if this is a quirk, or if other people have in fact successfully mounted a 508.

I had a 508 compressor put on my SC this year by TRE and in order to get it to line up correctly the manifold bracket that is solid needs to be ground back.
I'll get some pic's for you in a little while.

Sorry, thought it was a 508 but it's a 507.

You have a PM from me about the Sanden compressor.
