Yep that look like the reason why you are having the wind noise. You can remove the clips along the front and mark where the vinyl is on the frame and pull up on the vinyl and reglue it so it is pass the mark you made on the fame.

Or you can just drive a little slower.http://www.krauses.net/targa3.jpg

Nice looking car! I may have to put a tail on mine!

Yeah, right! Like that's gonna happen!

Thanks for the suggestions, though. I'm going to spend some time on it this weekend to see if I can adjust the clips/vinyl and cut down the noise a little.

Temporarily, I solved the problem... I took the top off!:D

Hi guys, just bought myself an 78 SC Targa. Going to pick it up in KS, then drive it home in Eastern Canada! My Targa bar is stainless, and not sure if id rpefer black. My idea was to buy a second targa bar, paint it and try it. Are ALL targa bars fit all Targa models? Thanks!

Great car, congrats. My solution to the noisy targa top is to leave it in the trunk.

Congrats on your new hot ride. (That is where my hubby went to pick-up our 930 when we got it).

As long as your on the subject of Targa tops. I have a question, are the release handles on the 84 tops supposed to pull out for storage? Mine don't seem to want to pull out

I know the handles on my '85 are removeable, I do it regularly especially when it's off - I KNOW where they are...

My solution to noise from the top:

Ah the fun begins. You got the right color but the top only comes half off. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/smi3.gif [B]
