What are they good for? Absolutely Nothin'
Say it again--hunh!
911 Back seats. But they can be quite useful when folded down, even perfect for some things, such as: 2 large pizzas 2 oil drain pans catalytic converter in box 1 bird bath 2 scuba tanks and gear bag baseball equipment bag 2 guitars in cases and small amp large cooler full of beer 2 Remington bronzes Computer, monitor, keyboard, printer Four bags of mulch 1 reclining labrador Not all at once of course. Must be some interesting additions to this list. (I omitted a couple of adult-oriented items in the interest of my marriage--try to keep it g-rated.)

my dog looooves the back seats of the 911. she'll get sick in everyother car but not the p-car! perfect platform for her to lounge on, with a good view outside. i throw a towel on the seats and let her enjoy the ride.

That's why I have never taken the back seats out. I like having the flat platform to put things on.

Well, this 32 yr. old got to ride in the back seat(s) of a '67 911E this past weekend, as my friend insisted I go along for the test drive and the seller insisted he come along too.
When folded down, the rear seats are perfect for guitar cases, cubes of Pabst, a spare transmission, kidnapped friend whose girl won't let him hang with his friends. The list goes on and on.

My eight year old won't sit in the front. He has one seat folded down for his arm rest and personal "shelf" as he calls it. The back seat works for him.

I have heard from several people that kids love the rear seats. Mine were too big to fit back there by the time I got my 911. My son's a defensive lineman. He can barely fit in the front seat.

It owuld be nice to have a lighter flat platform. I've never weighed the stock "cubby" but it looks heavy. I'm hoping to pick up some Al hexacell material from a Boeing junkyard someday. That would be a good material to use for a light wt. flat platform back there.

I can't seem to get my rear seats to go upright enough to get the latch pin set. Is there an adjustment someplace. 85 Cab

Richard is EXTREMELY devoted to Pabst, as the NoVa crowd is well aware. I suggest you immediately PM him for his address and arrange delivery of a case of Pabst pounders as a peace offering.

I guess with a Targa it just blows out, or swirls around the interior huh ?! I fold the seats for the luggage, top folded in the trunk on road trips. |
