Angry Alternator installation -- leftover bolt

I just installed an alternator in my 84, and I have a leftover bolt. It's about 1-1/4" long, and has an 8 mm hex head.

Anyone have any idea where it goes?

Thanks, guys!

Did you remove a wire harness bracket to get access by the alternator? I had to when I installed mine. Maybe, you forgot to put it back.

Um, did you install BOTH bolts that hold the voltage regulator in?

Thanks for the responses, guys. As it turns out, the bolt was for the plug wire spacer to the left of the dizzy. It was sort of hidden, and I didn't notice it at first. All is well!

Garage
I think Porscher, Lotus, even GM purposely have extra extra bolts and nuts, screws, etc, because every time I work on a car I always end up with something extra.
