Instant Oil Pressure
Don't know when it started.
Noticed today on my ride in that my oil pressure was pinned at 5 bars. Does not fluctuate as RPM's drop off. Stop for coffee, turn car off and gauge drops, turn ignition switch to on and gauge pins itself at 5. Obviously an electrical problem. Did a search but could not find the answer. Any ideas? Thanks, Scott

The oil pressure sender is that small can-shaped thingie just to the right of the fan housing, where the cam housing meets the engine case. One electrical wire to it. Unplug the wire and see what the gauge does. Ground the wire against the engine, and see what the gauge does. If this procedure makes it drop to zero and then peg, or peg and then drop to zero, then the gauge is okay and so is the wiring to the gauge. That would mean your sender is junk. Clean the terminal well, and plug it on again. No improvement? Call Pelican for a new sender.
