seat adapter

I just bought a seat adapter for putting Recaro seats in an early car from Peparts. Unfotrunately they didn't send any instructions at all.

Does anybody know what you are supposed to do to get this thing to work? And where the seat belt anchor is supposed to go?

Hi Randy,

When I ordered my plates from PE Parts, I asked the same question. They told me that either I had to fab something of my own or they could send me a set with the extra "ears" on the side to give a place for the lap belts to be installed. I opted for the extra ears. You might want to give them a call and see if you can do an exchange.

I have the "ears" - they are bolted to the frame. But I don't know how or where to mount the seat belt retractor anchor.

Randy,

On my car, the retractors are connected to the end of the shoulder belt. The retractor is on the wall of the car next to the rear passenger seats. About midway on the "b" piller is the shoulder belt D ring. The other end of the belt terminates at the base of the seat next to the door using that "ear". The other "ear" has the receiver for the lap belt clip.
