Alternators
I remember being told that my alternator puts out 65amps, is that true? Doesn't the alternator on 951's put out like 110amps or something? Is that enough juice to add stereo goodies to the car and not worry about power loss? Does anyone rebuild 911 alternators for more amp output, are there alternators you can buy with more amp output?

I'm not sure if i know what you mean by that, i just want to know if there's a limit to how many electronic accessories i can run in my car without going over my alternator's limit.

SC alternators were rated at 980 Watts, or 70 Amps at 14 Volts.

Oh. I thought you were concerned with the audio amp draw, which is the usual concern. Anyway a 75 X 4 amp shoud draw around 20amps at about 110db.. it's the ocasional big db/ low freq. current draw that'll require an audio cap or something like the Jacobs' Accuvolt to maintain the sub woofer quality. There are a few audio pros around here that know more about it than me.
