what exhaust tip to get?
Well I recently backdated the exhaust on my 1983-911SC to SSI's and a factory 2 in 1 out muffler, this muffler has a 21/4" OD tailpipe but no fancy exhaust tip.I painted the muffler and tailpipe with cold galvanizing compound and while the muffler looks great the tailpipe leaves something to be desired, should I go with a factory black or chrome tip or something else?I don't want to go with a ricer coffee can, please send pics or advice as to what you guys are useing. Thanks

Unless there is chrome trim elsewhere on the car go with black. There is nothing cooler than a car that Has It but doesn't Flash It.

Why does an exhaust pipe need "a tip"? It's a pipe that the bad air comes out of, or out of which it comes... Does an F-16 have "a tip" on its exhaust? Honesty in Machinery.

I feel an exhaust tip is visually important to a car whether it be fancy or old-school plain. There's a wide variety to choose from an this is another one of those areas where the look is very relative to the individual. If you choose to customize you will certainly have some people raging on this post

Thanks for the advice guys.My car is quartz gray with no chrome at all so maybe black is the way to go.ValveFloat I love the concept but my beer choice is Michelob in bottles!!! I laughed for a few minutes on that one.As far as the question do you have to have a exhaust tip,the answer is no you don't but I want to finish off the exhaust,it just doesn't look quite right.
