Geez some of you guys must have been dealers to have owned this many!!!
I thought americans bought cars for life and drove the hell out of them!.

- I'm just jealous!!!!!
here we go:
MG Midget- '74 1st car (in 1982)
Fiat Strada 105TC- '82 'boy racer!'
Ford Escort XR3i- '84 'boy racer'
Citroen BXGTi 16V- '87 Okay so I was a 'boy racer!!!!'
Jaguar XJS V12 '77
911 Cab '86- AKA 86ragtop
Golf GTI 1.8T- '02 - still trying to be a 'boy racer!!!'
911 Targa '71

Not bad for someone who has never lived in a house or owned a garage whilst owning the cars!
rgds `Ben

1957 Morris Minor

Its not the number of sports cars you have owned, but the quality of your judgement.

I think Hugh get's the prize for forethought in keeping that DB4. Way to go.

1.1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda – 340 Auto, Billboard Stripes. Likely one of the Promo cars
2.1969 AMC Ambassador SST – 343 converted to 4-speed
3.1974 Fiat 124 Spider, great car, one-handed roof, then - rust…
4.1972 Saab Sonnett- V4 – Nordic Weirdness
5.1975 Triumph TR-6 Roadster a GREAT English roadster
6.1978 Ford Capri Hot V-6 & Chastain body kit, horribly abused
7.1974 Camaro Formerly “my sister’s car” & one of my best paint jobs.
8.1974 Suzuki GT-750 Water Buffalo Motorcycle, Great winter bike.
9.1971 Porsche 914 1.7 mid-engine targa top 35mpg at 80mph all day…
10.1973 Porsche 914 1.8
11.1982 Yamaha Seca 750 Motorcycle, fast junk.
12.1973 Porsche 914
13.1972 Opel GT, beautiful green but rode like a brick (traded a TV for it)
14.1978 Datsun 280-Z 5-speed Deceptively Fast and fun but tinny.
15.1982 Lancia Zagato Targa/Convertible Beautiful Italian interior and style
16.1978 Lotus Esprit, Andretti World Champ commemorative. Amazing and gorgeous
17.1974 Lotus Europa - John Player Edition. Twin cam - blast to drive in tight places
18.1978 VW Rabbit (the VWs are out of chronological order) traded it for a BMW engine.
19.1974 VW Beetle, bug fun but no brakes…
20.1981 VW Scirocco S, “Cosmic Silver” - early 80’s cool…
21.1981 VW Rabbit Diesel, ugh, good paint though, did it outside, in the dark.
22.1982 VW Scirocco Auto
23.1974 VW 411 stunningly clean, ~ 30K miles
24.1978 BMW 530i 4-speed, great car, converted to 3.2 litre, a real sleeper.
25.1982 Peugeot 405 Turbo Diesel, ugh, cough cough
26.1985 Ford 4-wheel drive pick-up, a great, noble brute.
27.1992 Dodge Dakota Ext’d Cab Pick-up 340 fuel injected, hauling horses at 80+…
28.1986 Audi 4000S, very clean car – for someone else. The subsequent owner totaled it.
29.1984 BMW 318i - 5-speed, never liked it.
30.1982 BMW 320i, found it in Ylwsprgs. POs are cool people.
31.1987 BMW 325is, loved this one.
32.1988 VW Fox, Dull but nice and clean.
33.1985 Merkur XR4ti, great road trip car.
34.1988 Peugeot 405MI-16 another great, fun car. Favorite 4cyl engine.
35.1989 Porsche 911 Carrera, Guards red/black, ‘nuf said.
36.Next ??????????????? need a tender(944 SUV?) then maybe a Maser 3500GT.

oh yeah! I forgot that I had a 62 Olds F-85 with the "Ultra-High Compression" Aluminum V-8. If I remember right it was 218 cubes w/225 H.P. . I surprised quite a few hot-rodders with that sleeper. Not quite a sports car but it was fun on those hot summer nights in Downers Grove, Ill. It's very cool to see this thread revived. Alot of Britcar and hot rodders have turned into Porsche fanatics. Why is that? something primal and elemental, I suspect??? Fun?
