Well I just changed my tranny oil. The good news is there were no teeth or even metal other than some shavings.
The bad news not only was it low in fluid but it was nasty as well. Should have changed it a long time ago but I wanted to wait til I got the coupler bushings etc done first. Anyway now it feels even better with that all done. ![]()

Did you replace it with Swepco? I just had my 84 done, and the difference is noticable.

Yes I used swepco. Now I wish I had used something else for a few weeks and then the swepco. The old oil was so cruddy I may have to dump it again soon just to clean it out.

I changed my gearbox fluid for the first time early this spring and I used Swepco 201. The old fluid was nasty, smelled and looked bad. I didn't taste it but it sure looked like chocolate milk:> Well, the Swepco made a huge difference in the way the gearbox shifts. I think I'll change the fluid again this fall before the car goes into storage. I hope the fluid I ran this summer picked up the gunk that was left and will result in a cleaner gearbox.
