Cold start throttle: How long on ave. does one keep it up, and .......
 
Cold start throttle: (the one down by the seat)

1. How long on ave. does one keep it up after starting ? and .......

2. Did this apply to both MFI and Carb set ups?....and

3. Up to what years did Porsche use this device?

I have one on my 1973.5 CIS. I keep it open for a few minutes and then close. When open, I adjust my revs to about 1,000

on my stock CIS in freezing weather
the CHT gets to about 200deg in about 1/4 mi, in second gear,
at around 2,800-3,200rpm.. operating hy CHT at 60-75mph is around 245-255deg
