rust/bubbles
New found problem, when i first took my interior apart, i noticed that under the rear seat cover were small water puddles leaked in from the rear window seal. I got rid of the water and didn't pay much attention to it. One year later and now it looks like it's starting to rust on that portion of the sheet metal. Worst of all, i'm horrible with body work. I went out and got a 4-1/2 rust/paint removing wheel and some grey hi-temp rustoleum primer. Am i going about this all wrong? Should i bring the body to someone who knows what they are doing?

I second what Ron says, then put the rear seat covers back and forget about it. T
hese cars are made out of tough 1mm steel and a bit of surface rust doesn't matter - enjoy ![]() |

I've used it on suspension, engine tin, fan shroud, etc, and Rebars.. Ed has good experienced info, IMO.. I've done a bunch of touch-up gun shoots.. I could go on with that.. But, After doing some re-bar/cement work for the lift base in my garage, I thru some left over Por-15 on some left over rebars.. I left the bars outside for the past 4 or 6 years.. I didn't prep the bars. the bars were an experiment. the very thin areas were starting to rust thru after about a year.. the routine thin are still a touch and go, kinda 50/50.. the single coat, that was enough liquid to just nicely drag the brush across, are looking great.. and sometimes more isn't better. that's another story. "left the bars outside for the past 4 or 6 years". I live about 200ft. from a big salt air channel and 1,000ft. from the Atlantic Ocean high tide, go figure ...........Ron
