Dear Porsche lovers,
I have been offered by someone who lives quite far away the rear spoiler from a 1993 Porsche Carrera (3.6). Can anyone confirm that this will fit my '74 911 without making any modifications etc. to the actual engine cover? Thanks in advance for any help. Dean- Bilbao, Spain. |

Dean,
You will have to modify the hinges and go with a double strut system, but the shape is the same andit will fit (providing you are talking about a 964 an not a 993). Then you will have to route a switch to the dash in order to raise the spoiler. See this thread: 964 Decklid and tail BTW you may consider visiting the Spanish Porsche Forum in this address http://216.64.208.224/1foroasp/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=21 Saludos Paco |

I'm pretty sure you will have to do modification to your rear deck lid to mount the spoiler mechanism.
However, if you get the C2 decklid it will mount directly to your SC but you need to modify the mounting hinges. I think MA Shaws sell adapters for that purpose. --- anthony |

Anthony is right, I understood you were getting the deck lid with the spoiler, not the spoiler alone. The deck lid with spoiler will fit, the spoiler alone probably not...

The spoiler is of the "Tea tray" type not the pop up type so should be easier to fit, or not???.
