Cold start problem
 

When i cold start my 78 SC 3.0l european version, it goes to 1200rpm, to drop directly to +/- 300rpm when i loose the ignition key, sometimes after +/-15-20 seconds the iddle speed increase to 950 rpm, sometimes the motor stalls, what can be the reason and how can i troubleshoot it, i'm sure that the air regulator is open.

In hot condiiond or when it was started i don't have the problem.

Did this problem just suddenly appear? Or has it been a slowly worsening problem? I had those symptoms suddenly appear when I had an air box crack.:( New set of PMO's are on my "Must Do" list.

I noticed the problem a week after i bought the car so i'm not sure that it came suddenly, but when the motor is hot or once started the second time it goes easyer.
