2,2 and bosch distributer
The engine is a stock 2,2 with Zenith carbs.
Last year I was having problems with getting spark to the Marelli distributer so I ditched the CDI and just went with a condenser and coil setup. I now have my hands on a Bosch 0 231 159 003 that also has a condenser. Because of the cost I don't want to replace the CDI. What are the best/cheapest alternatives to put the Bosch into service?

Just what are your intentions ... replace Marelli distributor with Bosch, or replace distributor and put original Bosch CDI-unit back into service???
Do you still have your original Bosch CDI-unit and Bosch coil?

I still have everything but I'm not sure if the CDI unit or Bosch works of if it's the best combination for this car. I was told that the only way to test a CDI unit is to put it into a car that has a working unit.
I'm willing to ante up for an aftermarket unit. I don't want to use the Marelli for obvious reasons. Mike
