Question condenser

My '72 911 T MFI doesn't have condenser around distributor.
Is this unusual? She runs fine but idle.
Is this kind of any tunning which previous owner gave?

Lotus Elan Racing?

What are you doing on this board?

Brother just sold an immaculate 67 Lotus Elan Coupe and he didn't sell it to me.

The '69 thru '77 911 engines used a point-triggered CDI-system that did not need a condenser (capacitor) ... since the trigger signal switched current was only arount 140 mA through a 100 Ohm pullup resistor inside the CDI-unit.
