Are all dilivar studs black?
I have been avoiding the 930 since the "incident", but I took a look at the stud chunk that I had removed and it is not black but has a machined stainless look to the shaft of the stud. What stud do I have? Not that it matters, but I would like to know. Thanks.

Dilivar came in different colors / coatings over the years...I *think* the latest ones were black, and I also vaguely recall earlier ones to be something akin to gold cad look. Anyone else confirm?

If you are in doubt, I believe you can put a magnet to the stud. If I recall, Dilivar is non-magnetic.

Thanks guys, there is no hint of gold at all. It will grind a little salt in my wound if I have the "good ones" and they still snapped!

Your not the first to have early dilivar studs break!!
Isn't also true that the later black studs seem to be better than the early ones?

Actually, mildly magnetic, i tested mine. Steel ones are heavily magnetic, dilivar are slightly magnetic. You have a 930 anyhow man, silver colored studs can't be anything but dilivar since the steel ones are dark and by now usually have a slight amount of rust too.
