Prototipo on 87 Carrera???
I would like to know what my fellow Pelicanites think of putting a Momo Prototipo steering wheel in an 87 Carrera. Is my car too modern for the Prototipo? I LOVE the Prototipo in 1973 and before 911's. Will it work well aesthetically in my 87?
Thank you for your opinions. If the Prototipo is not right, I am thinking about a Suede type 69 Momo wheel. Any feedback is much appreciated. Mike |

Prototipo = Great looking wheel, an improvement over almost ANY factory Porsche wheel, in looks & utility.. makes the gauges a bit hard to read tho..;-(

fwiw, I had a Momo Competition and put a new Prototipo on. I went back to my Competition. Not sure if it's becuase I was just used to it, but it seemed to "fit" the look of my SC better, and in fact felt better. I think I just get very used to the big fat Comp wheel.
Both compromise your guage viewing however. |

check out the 930s wheel. I just bought one for my '87 Targa and like it a lot. Mine has the cloisone (sp) Porsche crest which looks just right. But, if you want a prototipo, you are the one that looks at it when you are driving.
