Urgent g/b help

Hi there, ive found an old porsche gearbox at a garage sale. the owner cant tell me what it was from as it was for a kit car an old flatmate from years ago was building.
A couple of pt no's i found on it were:
914.301.101.08
911.301.311 OR

As the first number was on the gearbox casing itself i thought it might be for a 914 or early 911.
Can someone please shed some light?
