BARRY AT IAE - Recommendations

Does anyone have any experience with Barry at IAE in Detroit. Need to recurve the distributor and rejet Weber 40 IDA 3Cs.

He is recommended by Bruce Anderson.

He recurved a distributor for me for my 73.5 911 which had been changed over to Webers. It solved every niggling problem I ever had with the carbed engine (spitting, popping, hesitation, etc). The engine had been worked on several times by two highly recommended mechanics and no one ever thought about the distributor curve being the issue.

If I had only learned of Barry sooner, It would have saved me years of frustration and many hundreds of dollars.

MDW,

Sounds like he knows his stuff. How 'bout sharing his contact info with your Weber carb-ed neighbor?

Barry rebuilt and re-curved my SC distributor to work with the carbs and cams I selected for my rebuild. He also set me up with an MSD box and coil with a "plug and play" wiring harness. He was good to work with, helpful on the phone and stands by his work.
