all good stuff here. funny to see my car back at the paint shop. so many last minute decisions made as it was being prepped "let's go ahead and fill in the decklid holes and while you're at it fill in the antenna hole and...".

dave - i need to send you an original of that pic as it seems to be one of your favorites. rob's car is awesome and a good guy to talk to as well.

andy - what's up with that car? details.

next project is the engine. working out the details. then i'll be done...yeah right!

Built by an aquaintance of mine from an original (basket case) '72S.

Everything on the car is new including RS engine :

Lots of nice touches including these rare seats:

For some reason, when I post pictures here using the 'upload' facility (as in the post above) it increases the size of the pictures which then appear slightly out of focus...

ok, that's it. i can't take this anymore. i'm backdating the SC. i know its not correct & i don't care. long hood....gimmie.
so ....i LOVE the center of the hood gas filler. is this mostly a cosmetic issue or are these modified cars all running fuel cells?
i have to assume that is the case, as i don't see many fender fuel doors on these modified (or factory) cars.
thanks for the car porn, this post made my day.

I took this picture about a month ago... A real RSK sitting next to my car... I'm not worthy. Anyway- I liked how the picture brought out the similar lines of both cars.

Now that RS 60 is light weight. Maybe 1200 lbs. and over 150 HP, one of 18 made.

This is one of the threads that convinced me to backdate my '85 model! Nothing like the look of an orginal long hood 911!

Its too damm hot to do anything here now but the car is more or less complete except headlights and such as well as paint. Sitting stored now until the temps go below 110 during the day. Did not install the A/C yet so not going to drive it until Sept or so on a regular basis.

Orginal thread is here: 85 Backdate to 72RS/3.6 proceeding nicely!
