Heater blower fan brgs

When these little guys sieze up, can they be replaced.

Mine seem to be suffering from a long Florida life of non-use.

I need the heater these days, well, in a month or so.
So, whats easier, brgs or a nice used motor out of an SC or something?

Dennis your 72 doesn't have a heater blower motor. Are you talking about the fresh air blower?

oppps, yea I guess so. Looking at mine, the brgs seem to be staked into the housing such that they can't be rebuilt. If someone else has done it, I will to.

Kurt, you'll be well represented at Indy, Shawn and I will flash our tails to all who will watch and some that try not to

Have you tried to squirt a bit of machine oil in the bearings? Fortunately I doubt you will be using the fresh air blower much in the winter.

I must have been drinking this mornign or something! right again, Kurt, but I would like the unit working so I can start getting things back together, you saw that mess in my trunk! Now half has been painted to match(well sort of) the car.

Yea I put some erl on it, and it did move, but it still is not so good!

Darn, I don't know if that ever worked! When I had the factory AC console under the dash, I used that blower to blow feesh air.

Kurt, did you have any luck with the 72E fan shroud sticker?

Garage
Have you done a "search" (either here or on Rennlist) for "fresh air blower motor"? I think someone had found a cost effective replacement and posted info on one of these boards.

Dennis, while I haven't found any of my old '72 parts I did find the shroud sticker! Send me a PM with your address and I will mail it out to you.
