Anyone have a Carrera valance to sell?

Any of you RUF bumper guys want to sell your stock Carrera, ('84-'89), front valance? Preferably w/ factory rubber lip? I just can't stand the looks of my SC foglights any longer. Also seeking Carrera sway bars. Thanks.

parts haven in hayward ca. has them new for $150, but the shipping is the killer. a guy from the board shipped me one for cost of shipping and it was a pretzel when it arrived. if it had been a new one i probally could have *****ed and been reinbursed but i did not think i would get a dime back on a well used one.

Hi Denis,

I got tired of the fog lights and living in the bay area, not much of a chance I will ever need them I took them off and removed the valance, put some round head bolts in the fog lamp holes to fill them and resprayed it. Put a new chin spoiler on, as mine was beat up, and it's good to go. I like the look much better. So if you can't find another valance and yours looks okay I would use it. There are small indentations where the fog lamps used to be but are not noticable unless your looking for them.

Thanks for the responses, guys. Bill, I was leaning towards just removing the fog lights and painting my valance, I just don't care for the looks of those things. Certain details, like those "cool in the mid '70s" lights seriously date what is otherwise a fairly timeless design, IMHO.

The Carrera look is OK, though, and I will message you privately Cary. Thanks again, fellas.

Cool

I think the light holes need 2 150w bulbs.. it would need one bosch 75amp relay, 10ga AWG wire, 30amp water sealed CB, and some solder

toomany, should he not strike a deal with you i might be interested in the valence. is the chin spoiler already mounted? i would prefer not mounted due to the half dozen holes it requires in the valence.

as my earlier comments on this post shipping one can be hairball, i work in san ramon so i could do0 an in person looksee/pick up. speeder has first shot though. what color by the way?

toby
